This internationally acclaimed artist’s solo exhibition can be seen at Schuttersgracht 18 in IJsselstein.
In a world that is becoming increasingly polarised, de Groot subtly pushes the limits of universal human consciousness. His paintings and sculptures have a semi-abstract, lyrical and often mystical appearance. In the sometimes grotesque contrasts of his oeuvre, he duels with refined nuances. The visitor enters an artistic world, like an avant-garde restaurant with an open kitchen full of dynamism and charismatic hospitality.
With the smell of paint and the twinkling of glazed ceramic pieces, accompanied by meditative, minimalist piano sounds, the visitor soon feels part of de Groots accessible and open philosophy of life.
